And like I said, I use a bunch of Cole's tricks when sketching freehand. It is well illustrated with excellent explanations. The book is so well illustrated that many perspective problems can be answered without reference to the text at all. As the struggles of the early masters in formulating the science are full of interest, I have tried in Part II to tell the tale of Perspective as we see it in the works of the great old painters. A knowledge of Nature's perspective is essential to the artist. The book is difficult to read:
